Fees:
My fees are typical of Clinical Psychologists in the area. I try to hold a couple of openings for clients on limited income.
Fees are charged according to the length of a session, with the hourly rate being charged for a 45-50 minute hour. Longer sessions can be scheduled if needed. Typically, the first session is a diagnostic assessment and is scheduled for 75-80 minutes. Fees for psychological testing are different than individual therapy. Please inquire about my fees when making an initial appointment.
Insurance:
I participate in Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Federal Blue Cross/ Blue Shield insurance panels for payment of psychotherapy. If you are not on either of those plans, I work as a fee for service provider, meaning that I collect payment at the end of each session.
The invoices contain all the necessary codes to bill the insurance companies directly. Typically, I do this on a monthly basis. My clients have not had difficulty getting coverage for services; however, I am considered an “out of network provider”. If you need to work with someone in your network, I will be happy to look at your list of providers and recommend someone. I have also provided several clients who are in serious need with pro bono services.
